ABOUT JE LAC
Beauty, beyond repetition.
JeLac is built around the idea that natural processes can create unrepeatable forms of beauty.
01 / THE QUESTION
What happens when nature
is allowed to lead?
JeLac was born from a simple question: what happens when natural materials are allowed to form without full control?
Working with traditional lacquer derived from trees and mineral-based pigments, each JeLac piece is created through a fluid process of floating color on water. The patterns that emerge cannot be planned or repeated. Every piece is the result of a single, unrepeatable moment between material and movement.
02 / OUR PHILOSOPHY
We do not design patterns.
We work with processes
that generate them.

Material. Movement. A moment that cannot return.
03 / LIVING WITH TIME
A piece that keeps becoming.
After formation, the lacquer continues to respond to light and time. Its surface gradually develops depth and brightness as it is exposed to natural sunlight. A JeLac piece is an evolving object, shaped by the passage of time.
At its core, JeLac is defined by three elements: natural lacquer, flowing pigments, and time. Together, they create wearable art that is never identical and never fully controlled.
04 / LOOKING FORWARD
From wearable objects
to living surfaces.
JeLac explores how materials behave under natural forces. Flow is our first expression: a collection of wearable objects, each carrying its own moment of formation.
